Joseph Rudolph, RHP Director of Development
Mr. Rudolph joined Riverwood in 1991 as Director of Development at John Knox Village of Central Florida and provides assistance with all construction and renovation projects at Riverwood's client facilities. A Florida Certified General Contractor, Mr. Rudolph was founder and President of Rudolph Construction in Orange City, Florida for 18 years, specializing in residential and senior housing. He has been instrumental in long-range planning and property acquisition for John Knox and numerous other retirement communities around the state.
Mr. Rudolph received certification as a Retirement Housing Professional from the University of North Texas. He currently serves as Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of West Volusia Count and the Volusia County Planning & Land Development Committee. Mr. Rudolph also is a past member of the Volusia County Growth Management Committee, past President of Volusia County Code Enforcement Board, and past area Vice President of the Florida Home Builders Association.
Kenneth R. Behnke Director of Dining Services
Working out of Riverwood's Orange City headquarters, Mr. Behnke has been a driving force behind the success of Riverwood's Dining Services computer software, now used by a number of the company's client communities. In addition, his expertise has been valuable in designing the optimum organization structure for food service departments and establishing budget requirements for a variety of clients.
Mr. Behnke also is Director of Operations for one of Riverwood's client communities, John Knox Village of Central Florida, a full service CCRC. In that position, his responsibilities include the organization and management of all resident service programs, including dietary department, serving over 1,500 meals daily.
Prior to joining Riverwood Mr. Behnke worked as general manager for several Florida restaurants. Mr. Behnke studied Hospitality Management at Daytona Beach Community College.
Christine Wirthwein Vice President Marketing Services
In April 1996, Riverwood formed a strategic alliance with Christine Wirthwein to provide marketing support service to select clients, including all facets of marketing, strategic planning, image enhancement, lead generation, public relations and sales staff recruitment and training. Ms. Wirthwein's marketing and sales experience in senior housing began in 1983, serving over 160 senior housing/healthcare facilities consisting of over 50,000 units in over two dozen states as well as Canada.
A graduate of the University of Nebraska holding a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications, Ms. Wirthwein is a member and well-respected speaker of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, National Association of Senior Living Industries, Retirement Housing Council, and Assisted Living Facilities Association of America.
Shirley Chapman HUD Management Specialist
Shirley Chapman joined Riverwood in 1997, responsible for providing management and consulting services to Riverwood's HUD housing properties in Florida and North Carolina. In addition, Ms. Chapman has served as Manager of Riverwood's client facility, Winter Haven Manor, located in Winter Haven, Florida for over ten years. Prior to joining Riverwood, Ms. Chapman was employed for over six years as Manager of a variety of HUD multi-family housing properties in both Florida and Georgia.
Ms. Chapman received her BA degree from the University of Pittsburg and received HUD Certification as Assisted Housing Manager in 1988. She received numerous awards for exceptional performance in attaining occupancy goals and budgetary compliance throughout her twenty-year career.
Natalie Bailin Accounts Receivable Manager
Natalie Bailin joined Riverwood in 2002 as Accounts Receivable Manager with the responsibility of providing direct accounts receivable and cash collections support. Prior to joining Riverwood, Ms. Bailin held regional positions for mulit-physician practices and long-term care management companies.
With more than twenty years of experience in health care receivables and collections, Ms. Bailin specializes in rapidly auditing, billing and collecting outstanding accounts, focusing on difficult and complex A/R issue with a strong record of success. Ms. Bailin attended Ocean College in New Jersey and maintains her Medicare and insurance knowledge by attending various Medicare and other insurance collection seminars.
Joan Hurston Senior Accountant
Joan joined Riverwood in 2009 as Senior Accountant. She is responsible for Financial Statement preparation as well as oversight of insurance and payroll issues for multiple facilities. Joan brings to Riverwood many years of accounting and business experience. She worked as a Certified Public Accountant for nine years prior to opening a business she co-owned for twenty years, serving as Controller.
Joan earned a B.B.A. degree in Finance and Economics and a Master's Degree in Accounting from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida.
